About me:
I specialize in reading, writing, and editing, with experience in journalism, software and technology, teaching, mentorship, and research. I love reading for new authors with advanced reader copies and providing constructive feedback or leaving reviews. I love to travel and immerse myself in the historical and art scene; it allows me to participate in new cultures.
My experience overseeing the planning and conception of both written and visual content to be featured in print, audio, and online media websites, presentations, and more makes me successful in providing critical support and engagement with my audience. I ensure all information is accurate before publishing it, whether it’s written or visual content. My playful and imaginative approach to developing and editing audio and video projects allows me to connect with my audience. I encourage the effort to find new ideas and discoveries within all works. My interpersonal and leadership abilities make me successfully communicate verbally and in writing. These methods allowed me to successfully aid undocumented families in learning about food resources in Bell Gardens and have food delivered to their homes. As well as develop podcasts, videos, and blog posts that explore the intersection of climate change impact, undocumented communities, and digital literacy.
Advocate
I did some outreach on behalf of some Undocumented families impacted by the pandemic. Due to the increasing threat of deportation, I wanted to use my voice and time to ensure food security for Undocumented families by cold calling the city council of Bell Gardens. I emailed the city council for more information about food drives and opportunities to share the details with undocumented families. I also am in the process of pressuring the city of Bell Gardens to speak out against ICE and to discuss how Bell Gardens is a sanctuary for undocumented people.
In addition, I mentor people interested in attending community college, a four-year college, or making a transition in their career. I meet with people to help with their resumes, applications, FAFSA, reviewing personal statements, the purpose of statements, and more. We meet on the phone, virtually, or through google doc and chat. I want to be able to remove as many obstacles as possible for BIPOC students and individuals.

Podcasts
I love producing podcasts it gives me the opportunity to do interdisciplinary research and to be creative in expressing my analysis. Podcasts allows me to incorporate personal narratives (including my own) in order to build trust and connect with my audience as well as to demonstrate the value of personal narrative. Podcasts forces me (the speaker) and the audience (listeners) to participate in active listening, especially, with the various layering of voice, music, and sound effects. Podcasts allow for inclusive participation through listening, vibrations, and written transcripts with hyperlinks. When listeners explore the hyperlinks they participate in many different ways with my podcast. Personal narratives included in podcasts aid us to acknowledge and validatie these experiences. Eventually through the interactive experience of listening to podcast it causes listeners to do further exploration of the podcast and my claim.
